Misty Lewis, MBA

Misty is the Executive Director of Health Equity at IU Health's Office of Health Equity
Research and Engagement, collaborating closely with Dr. Brownsyne Tucker-Edmonds
leading a team comprising program managers, project managers, data scientists, and
analysts. Misty focuses on identifying disparity gaps in care within marginalized
communities, with a special emphasis on cardiovascular health, infant and maternal health,
and behavioral health services.

In her previous role as Chief External Affairs Officer and Foundation Executive Director
at HealthNet, Misty showcased her commitment to community health by overseeing
initiatives ensuring access to needed healthcare services to over 60,000 patients. With
her certification in Fundraising Management from the Lilly School of Philanthropy, Misty
Raised over a million dollars to support the expansion of clinical programs and services
in marginalized communities across Indiana.

Misty's educational background includes a bachelor's degree in communication studies
from Indiana University and a master's in business administration with a concentration
in project management from Indiana Wesleyan University. Demonstrating her ongoing
commitment to academic and professional growth, Misty is now pursuing her Doctorate
in Public Health.

Misty currently serves on the board of directors for the United Northeast CDC, the
Wellness Connection, the Metropolitan Indianapolis, Indiana Area Health Education
Center Advisory Council, and for the past two years, has served on the CFRO board at
Eli Lilly & Co., focusing on minority representation in clinical trials.
